Detroit Michigan, 1965: Early one Saturday morning, WWJ-TV, Channel 4 (NBC) aired a brand new children’s program called “Oopsy the Clown”. Instantly, thousands of young viewers became loyal fans of Oopsy Daisy, the comical clown character with a big red nose, lime green jumpsuit, floppy checkered boots and glittering green top hat embellished with daisies who lived in Daisyville’s ‘Lil Place along with Miser Mouse, Squiggly Wiggly Worm and Henrietta Peck. They would tell jokes and stories, sing, dance, perform magic tricks and even juggle!
